A private men's pickleball forum.
For men who see sport as a means to excellence in mind, body, and soul.
No sponsors. No affiliates. No brand deals. No ads. Paid. Gated. Men only.
Who this is for.
Players
You want to raise your ceiling, get more athletic, sharpen your mental game, and have it carry into the rest of your life.
Fathers
Fathers raising boys who play. The goal is to develop them in a way that honors God and treats their growth into good men. Not over-scheduling, not early specialization, not win-at-all-costs.
Coaches and Experts
You're a coach, trainer, physical therapist, or chiropractor working with pickleball players. You're here to get better at what you do and help others along the way.
Why men only
Men's spaces have died.
The research on this game is clear: men who play frequently report dramatically lower rates of depression. And it isn't just the exercise. It's the exercise alongside other men, the conversation and the bond that comes with it.
One in five men has no close friends at all, and the youngest men are the loneliest of them. Fewer than a quarter say they'd turn to a friend in a difficult moment. The Surgeon General calls it an epidemic, with real health costs. The ordinary places where men used to be known by other men have thinned out, and a man's whole social world gets outsourced to his wife. That's not closeness. That's isolation with one exception.
This forum is a men's only space. Iron sharpens iron. A grown man needs somewhere to be honest about his game, his body, and his failures, and to hear the truth from men who want to get better.
So we talk about what men need to talk about: fatherhood, discipline, faith, competition, training, nutrition, what it means to lead and to lose well. And pickleball, of course. We build one another up.
Why paid
Free forums are expensive.
They cost you time. You've seen what pickleball discussion looks like when it's free. Pro tour gossip, drama about who said what, the pile-on when someone asks a basic question. The clickbait, the ads, the rage bait, the scolding. Somebody trying to sell you something. You go looking for an answer about your shoulder and forty minutes later you've read nothing that helps.
And nothing accumulates. Ask a good question in a free forum and it's gone in a day, buried under a hundred threads about paddles. Ask the same question next year and you'll get the same forty replies from men who never learned the answer either. Search is useless because there's nothing worth finding.
Free is expensive. When it costs nothing to be there, it costs nothing to behave badly and nothing to leave. When there's ads, engagement is the business, so popular topics that are irrelevant, rage inducing or off topic rarely get moderated.
Every member has paid to be here. When people pay, they have skin in the game and they take it seriously. Nobody trolls, mocks, or wrecks a conversation to get a rise. Skin in the game is what makes a forum work, and what makes it worth more as it grows.
The big picture
The game is the means, not the end.
This is a forum for men who see the game as a means to a greater end: the development of the man himself, in mind, body, and soul. The mind, a good attitude and moral character. The body, trained the way it was designed to develop. The soul, competing in a way that honors God rather than the self.
Mind
We make honest calls. We respect our partners in the worst of times, and our opponents always. We congratulate an opponent's good point instead of dwelling on our own error. We keep a level head regardless of outcome, and we train the mind to stay calm under pressure so that sound strategic decisions get made. We aspire to excellence in mental strength.
Body
We honor the body by training movement that aligns with God's original design: the developmental process every infant grows through. That is the foundation for graceful, athletic, optimal movement, so we train it both on and off court.
Many come to this sport without ever having trained athleticism. The game gets built on top of compensatory movement patterns, and those compensations establish a low improvement ceiling. Then pain signals, then injury. You can't out-play a foundation that was never built.
Every healthy baby learns to breathe, stabilize, roll, crawl, squat, and stand in the same order, no coach required: the Designer's exercise program. We default to it out of respect for the design. Raise the base and the whole game rises with it, and it keeps rising for decades.
Soul
A nourished soul requires a clear conscience, and sound behavior is paramount. For the man with faith, we live in a continual cycle of examining and correcting our conduct, tweaking our behavior over the course of the journey so that it honors God more over time.
Who's behind this.
Kieran Ricci. I played Division I tennis, then spent twenty years coaching: junior program director, head club professional, dozens of tournaments run. I'm a certified strength and conditioning coach, certified in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS-SC), hold a degree in exercise science and wellness, and carry a 4.86 DUPR. I'm not a touring pro. Coaching is what I do, so I'm in here and directly involved.
Comments from my YouTube channel.
"This is the only channel I came for real knowledge."
"The only pickleball channel I know that takes time to talk about how much our body matters."
"You described what it takes to be a better player, which is in the minority in this culture."
"Not just for pickleball or athletics, but for any mentor/mentee relationship."
"I'm a full-time personal trainer with a CSCS. I've been looking for this level of dedication and attention to detail in the pickleball space."
What's inside.
The Forum
The room itself. Men talking about their game, their bodies, their sons, and how to play this thing well. I'm in here through the week, and the men in here answer each other.
Everything Searchable
The forum and the library are both searchable, so you can find what you're looking for. Ask something in March and it's still there in October for someone else to find. Filters and tags help you narrow it down.
The Library
Think of it as a growing reference built around the method. Each entry covers one thing: an exercise, a movement pattern, a drill, a piece of equipment. Written explanation of what it is and why it matters, with video showing it done properly.
When the same question keeps coming up in the forum, I build something permanent around it rather than answering it again. Over time the coaches and experts in here write and expand entries with their names on them, and it becomes a wiki we build together.

Questions
The purpose of the charter as a filter is purely for the quality of the discourse. Friction at the door is what keeps the conversation inside honest and open. This is a place of serious men with aligned values, not a public square. It's built on the historic Christian moral framework, for men of the historic traditions working together, along with men outside the faith who respect this framework.
No. The foundation is a Christian moral framework, and everything I teach comes through a Christian lens, but the gate is how you live, not what you profess. A man without the faith who lives by the framework honors the standard, the way a man without faith who keeps his marriage vow is doing something good in God's eyes. Respect the foundation, live by the charter, and you belong here.
The historic faith, and the moral framework that comes out of it. That's the foundation this is built on. This isn't a place to argue the differences between traditions. What you agree to is the charter.
You don't have to share the faith to be here. You do have to respect the foundation and live by the values in the charter. What isn't welcome is promoting liberal or egalitarian positions that are hostile to this foundation.
American sport was largely built by Christians who believed a game's purpose was to make men. Basketball was invented at a YMCA in 1891 by a physician and chaplain who said it was a means of teaching morality.
By removing that foundation, secularism filled the void. College and pro sports now model idolatry, gamesmanship, self-importance, money buying team loyalty, and an emptiness with regard to purpose. The old baseball sandlot is the antithesis of all that, and it's the ideal model of the American sporting spirit. The sandlot died because someone found a way to commodify youth sport instead of leaving it be.
So the charter isn't there for faith conversion or decoration. It's there because I believe we need to bring that spirit back into sport. It's also not granularly ideological: it welcomes Christians who hold the historic faith, along with men outside it who agree to the framework.
The sporting spirit of old Americana means respect for your opponent, discipline in your training, and character ahead of all else. Historical, biblical Christianity provides this precise framework. We're commanded to give glory to God, not ourselves. We're required not to bear false witness, so honesty isn't optional. We're required to treat one another with respect. For the Christian, anything outside that is sin, and it needs to be repented of. For the man who isn't a Christian, the principles still hold, and he agrees to them as a moral framework.
That doesn't mean you can't have performance ambitions, and it doesn't mean we shouldn't admire the excellence professional athletes exhibit. We should. But in my view, there's no framework that comes close to Christian conviction for developing good and moral men.
It's built in America, for American men and the American pickleball sandlot. That's the central ethos. Membership is open to men in the United States.
Beside you, yes. Your membership covers your sons under 18. For boys under 13, you do the posting on their behalf; they don't type into the forum themselves. From 13 they can post on your account with you present. No solo accounts for minors, no exceptions. If your son is here, it's because his dad is here.
If you're a homeschool family that values biblical sports leadership, this was built with you in mind.
Professionals are welcome here. Coaches, trainers, physical therapists, chiropractors. You're here to get better at what you do and help others along the way.
Your profile is yours. Say who you are, what you do, and link your site. That's your storefront.
In threads: answer the question and let the answer be the advertisement. If you contribute to a library entry, your name goes on it.
If a member messages you about working together, that's between you two, go ahead and take them on.
The goal is a forum where paying members are never pressured or sold to.
Absolutely, we homeschool too. Use the forum as PE. You'll have the library I curate, built on the Dinkredibles training method and on what men in the forum are working through, and most importantly it's a Christ-first perspective on sport, development, and manhood that's rarely taught these days.
Yes, anytime. You manage your membership right from your account settings, and cancelling is never gated behind an email or a phone call.
Cancelling stops future billing. Your access runs to the end of the period you've already paid for.
Because everyone is corruptible, including me. If I'm sponsored, or directing you to affiliates, or under contract with someone outside, I benefit financially from steering you toward a sale. With true independence I can speak honestly, and there's no incentive to corrupt the answer. For instance: ask me about a paddle, and I can tell you to find it almost new for $60 on eBay, instead of sending you through my link to buy it for $100.
Heavily. This is my only product and I'm all in, so I have every incentive to make it great. I'm not a touring pro juggling brand or contract obligations. I built the forum, I set the standards and enforce them, and I build the library.
This is an asynchronous forum, and that includes me. Post whenever you like. I read and reply through the week, not on weekends or public holidays. What I won't promise is an immediate reply on every post, because that makes me the bottleneck and prevents scale. The men in here answer each other by design.
Where I do the most good is the library. When I see the same question coming up, I build something permanent around it, in collaboration with the coaches and experts in here. In the beginning I'll be more active in replies. As it grows, more of my time goes into the library, and it gets deeper because I'm not stuck in the weeds.
Yes, especially early on while the forum is small. But as it grows, it matters that I'm not a bottleneck. If a question keeps coming up, I'll create a searchable library entry that's more detailed than a typical thread reply.
Your choice. Use your real name or a handle, whichever suits you. The room judges a man by what he says, not by what his profile calls him. Do set an avatar so you're not a gray box.
If you run a pickleball business and list it in your profile, you've identified yourself, and that's a reasonable choice. Trust is easier to earn with a name on it.
Yes, but embed it rather than uploading it. Put the clip on YouTube or Vimeo and paste the link into your post. It will embed and play right there in the thread. Other hosts work too, though the link may not play inline.
You can post a game, a drill, your serve, an exercise you're unsure about, a movement that hurts, and get community feedback. Say what you want feedback on so men know what they're watching for.
I don't host video, because storage costs compound forever.
Set it to unlisted rather than public or private. Unlisted keeps it off your channel and out of search, but anyone with the link can watch, so treat the link as the only lock on it. If you're filming at your home courts or your gym, that's in the frame too, and men who play locally may recognise it.
You have an hour to edit a post after writing it, and you can delete it in that window as long as nobody has replied yet. Once someone has answered, the post is part of the thread.
After the hour, edits show in the post's history, so nobody can quietly rewrite what they said. If you need something changed or taken down later, email me.
They stay. Conversations here belong to the room, and pulling one man's side out leaves everyone else talking to themselves. If you'd rather your name not stay attached, email me and I'll anonymize the account: your words remain, your name comes off.
If you posted something you shouldn't have about your family, your employer, or your health, tell me which post and I'll remove it.
You can also use a pseudonym from the start if you'd rather not tie your name to your account.
As little as possible.
I don't sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no tracking pixels. The only cookies are the ones that keep you logged in and remember whether you want light or dark mode.
The forum runs on infrastructure I control rather than a third-party community platform, so your posts and messages aren't sitting in somebody else's product. Card numbers never touch my server; my payment processor handles those.
Nothing posted in the forum is public or indexed by search engines. It's a gated, paid room, and what's said here stays here. That binds me too: if I ever want to use something you wrote outside the forum, I'll ask you first.
The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
You join, agree to the charter, and get oriented. You browse the library, then you take positive action in your training and your community.
Fall 2026. I'm not setting a hard date, because a community with nobody in it isn't worth paying for. I'm building the waitlist and publishing the work that explains what this is, and I'll open the doors when there are enough men to make it a living forum from day one. Get on the waitlist and you'll hear first.
Lutheran. But this forum is built on the foundation all the historic traditions share, the faith as it's been held for two thousand years, not the liberal egalitarian revisions of the last century. The differences between traditions, say Catholic and Protestant, exist, and they can be contentious. They can also be productive discussions elsewhere. Here they're set aside. This is a place where we unite for the purpose of growing faithful boys and men in sport, in this case pickleball.
Join the waitlist.
What this is. A private pickleball forum for men who see the game as a means to a greater end: the development of the man himself, in mind, body, and soul. The mind, a good attitude and moral character. The body, trained the way it was designed to develop. The soul, competing in a way that honors God rather than the self. Everyone who joins agrees to pursue that, and to help the men and boys around him do the same. If you're looking for gear debates, tour gossip, or somewhere to complain about your rating, this isn't that room.
The foundation. This community is built on the historic Christian moral framework, because that framework is the answer to the secularism that has hollowed out modern sport. Denominational differences exist, but that kind of debate doesn't belong here. You don't have to share the faith. You do have to respect the foundation, live by the values below, and not promote positions that cut against it. This is not a liberal or egalitarian framework, and this forum treats masculinity, including healthy aggression in sport, as a virtue rather than a problem. A man who lives by the values honors the standard whether or not he professes the faith.
The values.
Mind.
Body. We honor the body by training movement that aligns with God's original design: the developmental process every infant grows through. That is the foundation for graceful, athletic, optimal movement, so we train it both on and off court.
Soul. This one is delicate, because the gate here is not Christian faith. But we hold that a nourished soul requires a clear conscience, and that sound behavior is paramount. A man without faith can still be faithful to his wife, and that is good in God's eyes. For the man with faith, we live in a continual cycle of examining and correcting our conduct, tweaking our behavior over the course of the journey so that it honors God more over time.
Training and your body. Everything here is education, not medical care. I'm a coach, not your physician. Nothing in this forum diagnoses, treats, or replaces a doctor or physical therapist. Training carries risk of injury, and you accept that risk when you act on anything you read here. If something hurts, see someone qualified. If you have a condition, clear it with your doctor first.
How we treat each other. Straight talk, goodwill, honesty, no gossip. We tell each other the truth, even when it's hard to hear, because that's how men improve. No threats, no intimidation, no personal attacks, and of course nothing outside the law. Don't make disparaging claims about named individuals or organizations. Referencing professional players and public figures in the sport is fine, that's normal pickleball talk. What's out is anything defamatory, legally risky, or identifying about a private individual. Never post anyone's private information.
Good faith. One account per man. No impersonation. What other men post here isn't yours to copy, screenshot, or repeat outside this forum. Save my library material for your own use if it helps you, but it stays yours, not something to redistribute. Don't solicit other men here, in threads or in messages. Answer what's asked and let your profile speak for itself.
Speech. No blasphemy, no unclean speech. We can disagree hard and say difficult things, but the point is always to build men up, not to tear them down. Remember there are boys in here alongside their fathers, so keep the discourse God-honoring. If you're wondering whether something crosses the line, the hesitation is your answer.
What you post. By posting here you give me permission to keep, display, and edit your posts within the forum. Threads stay up and stay searchable, because the value of this place compounds: the question you asked in March is the answer another man finds in October. If you leave, what you wrote stays for that reason. What's said here stays here, and that binds me too. If I ever want to use something you wrote in material published outside the forum, I'll ask you first, whether or not your name is on it.
The wiki. Separate from the threads, and built deliberately. Coaches and experts can write or expand an entry, and your name goes on what you contribute. Anything you add there is yours to be credited for and mine to maintain as part of the wiki.
Responsibility. What you post is your own. I don't vet it and I'm not answerable for it. Post something unlawful and you own the consequences.
Fathers and sons. Your membership covers your sons under 18. For boys under 13, you do the posting on their behalf; they don't type into the forum. From 13 they can post on your account with you present, never on their own. No solo accounts for minors, no exceptions. If your son is here, it's because his dad is here.
My hours. This is an asynchronous forum, and that includes me. Post whenever you like. I read and reply through the week, not on weekends or public holidays. I'll be heavily involved, especially early on, since the forum is an extension of my philosophy and you'll want to hear from me. As it grows, more members will be ready to answer too.
Moderation. Anything that becomes a distraction to the mission, I'll deal with directly. Moderation calls are mine, and they aren't up for debate in the forum. If you think I got one wrong, message me directly. I keep the right to remove a member at my discretion. Membership fees aren't refundable. If something unusual happens, I'll deal with it case by case. Stay within the rules and the spirit of what we're building, and you'll have no trouble here.
This is the waitlist charter and it's a living document. Agreeing to it is not a membership agreement. The full charter and the Terms of Service apply at membership checkout, and you'll see both before you enter.
